Of course, these many techniques vary on the exact make and model of safe that you\u2019re dealing with &#8211; however, this guide applies to a broad range of different types of safes.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">General Manual Dial Safe Changing Procedure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Open up the safe<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">With the door open, move the dial according to the existing number combination, but move the numbers to the change mark (to the left of the 12 o clock mark.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Leave the dial on the last number of the combination.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Put the change key into the keyhole on the inside of the safe door.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Turn the key, but don\u2019t torque it into the keyway.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dial in the new combination by using the change mark, and according to the same rotating pattern that you normally use to open up the safe.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Leave the safe dial on the last number of the new number combination.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Turn, and take out the change key.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Try this combination a few times while the safe door is open.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">General Digital Safe Changing Procedure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When the safe door is open, press 7, then 4, then \u2018*\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The lock will then change to programming mode. Press the current safe code, then \u2018#\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Wait until you hear a series of unique beeping noises.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Show you want to change the safe combo by pressing 1, then \u2018*\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Input the desired new code, then press \u2018#\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Wait until you hear a series of three unique beeping noises.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Input the new code again, then press \u2018#\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Wait until you hear the unique beeping noises again, confirming that you\u2019ve made the codes match.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The safe should be out of programming mode now. With the door open, test to see if the combination works.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">General Padlock Safe Changing Procedure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Look up the padlock code changing information on Google.
